In general, League of Legends is regarded as more "newbie" favorable, with fewer punishing mechanisms (such as refusing) and a more homogenized gameplay that helps users unfamiliar with the genre learn the ropes. Also, it starts you off with a limited choice of winners, requiring that you just work to bring in (or purchase) the others you are interested in. This is not always a terrible thing, although the rate is rather slower than Defense of the Ancients 2.
